Access to accurate health information and preventive screening remains a challenge for many young people in tertiary institutions. In response, EquiBridge facilitated an interactive health education session and provided free Hepatitis and HIV screening for more than 138 students.
Students actively engaged in discussions, asked thoughtful questions, and received evidence-based information that challenged common myths. Pre- and post-test counselling empowered participants to make informed decisions about their health. The enthusiastic participation demonstrated a growing willingness to embrace preventive healthcare when services are made accessible and delivered in a supportive environment.
EquiBridge remains committed to expanding campus-based health interventions that improve access to health education and early disease detection among underserved and vulnerable populations.
