About EquiBridge

A youth-led public health organisation committed to equitable access to quality healthcare information and community-led interventions.

Who We Are

EquiBridge Community Health Initiative (EB-CHI) is a youth-led public health organization committed to improving access to quality healthcare information, preventive health services, and evidence-informed, community-led health interventions in underserved communities across Nigeria, with a long-term vision of contributing to stronger and more resilient health systems across Africa.

We work alongside communities, healthcare providers, governments, academic institutions, civil society organizations, and development partners to co-create practical, people-centred solutions that improve health outcomes, strengthen referral systems, expand access to essential health services, and promote health equity.

While health is the foundation of our work, we recognize that health outcomes are shaped by wider social, economic, educational, gender, and environmental factors. We therefore use health as an entry point to drive holistic, sustainable, and community-led change, integrating education, gender equality, youth leadership, climate resilience, innovation, and social inclusion into our work.

Our Story

EquiBridge Community Health Initiative was founded in 2025 on the belief that good health is a foundation for thriving communities and sustainable development.

We recognized that young people, women, and other underserved and marginalized populations continue to face preventable barriers to quality healthcare, reliable health information, education, and opportunities that enable them to live healthy and productive lives.

EquiBridge was established from a different understanding of how sustainable change happens: communities should not simply be recipients of support. They should be active partners in identifying their priorities, co-creating practical solutions, implementing interventions, and sustaining change.

Starting in Nigeria, EquiBridge brings together communities and partners across sectors to develop locally driven, evidence-informed solutions while strengthening the systems that support health and wellbeing. Our long-term vision extends across Africa, with a focus on meaningful partnerships, knowledge exchange, youth leadership, and equitable health outcomes.
